Offers non-judgmental, confidential birth control services and counselling, emergency contraceptive pill, IUD's and diaphragms, information on STD’s, sexual health and relationships.  Provides birth control supplies at reduced cost (free when necessary).  Offers STD, HIV, Hep B&C and pregnancy testing, pregnancy options and counselling.  Breast and pelvic exams including cervical screenings  Drop-in clinic with limited day/hours.

 

Alberta Health Care requested but not required.
 

 

 

Offers confidential, non-judgmental information, counselling and referrals on birth control, pregnancy options (adoption, parenting, abortion), and decision-making around issues of sexuality.  Provides free pregnancy testing.  Presents information on relationships, sexuality, contraception, and safer sex to community groups, schools, youth-serving agencies, etc. Has volunteer opportunities.

Serves as health brokers between health institutions and immigrant families; provides on-to-one support to individuals and families.  Services also include health education, parenting support, prenatal education and post-natal support, sexual education and translation.

 

 

Works to break the cycle of abuse, neglect and interpersonal violence through prevention services, and in doing so, to promote safe and supportive relationships for individuals, within the community and within the family.  Offers presentations to grades 7-12.

Provides free, nonjudgmental, confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections as well as testing for HIV and Hepatitis.

 

Services also include:

Free workshops addressing sexually transmitted infections and teaching strategies are offered to teaching professionals.

Taped messages addressing sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and Hepatitis run 7 days per week and 24 hours per day.

 

During business hours, callers may also talk to a nurse anonymously during business hours (Monday – Friday 8:45 – 12:30 and 1:00 – 5:00).

 

This toll free service is available throughout Alberta.

Responds to the issues and challenges of pregnant and parenting youth.  Works with pregnant/parenting youth to help them with parenting skills, accessing community resources and prenatal health.  Offers support groups, career planning, Healthy Families program, housing support, in-house family support, labour support, New Directions program for your fathers, in-school support at Braemar School and Our Lady of Grace School. Has volunteer opportunities.
